Outlook
has many ways to promote a healthy lifestyle. If walking is your style,
Outlook is home to the SkyTrail,
Canada’s Longest Pedestrian Bridge.
The bridge, a integral part of the Trans Canada Trail system is 3000 feet
long and stands 156 feet above the South Saskatchewan River. The Outlook & District
Regional Park is the hub of all activities in the summer. It has many walking/hiking
trails with the best view of the river. It is also home to the Riverview
Golf Club, a nine-hole golf course situated down along the river. The park
has with 50 electrified campsites and a junior Olympic size swimming pool
and is canopied by 800-year-old American Elm Trees.
The Jim Kook Recreation Complex has a skating rink with a 200' x 85' ice surface as well as six dressing rooms. There is also a four sheet curling rink, a four lane bowling alley and five shale ball diamonds , an Archery Lane, lounge, Mezzanine area and two large lobbies located on the grounds. Whether it be in theatre, painting, writing, sketching whatever the medium. The Equinox Theatre and the LCBI Theatre Group holds productions throughout the year. Outlook also has a branch of Music for Young Children. The Variety Place Gallery showcases new artists each month. Work of local artists and craftsman are also placed around town in local businesses. The Outlook & District
Heritage Museum, located in the former railway station, has over 2500 artifacts
collected
from the area.
